Member At Large, Thomas Dean Mr. Dean has wide-ranging experience in cyber security, aircraft maintenance and logistics, and higher education working for Booz Allen, the U.S. Air Force and State of Texas. He developed and continues to hone the Air Force strategy and procedures for projecting mission assurance across and through networks as well as the associated success indicators. He was Director of Operations for both Air Force Cyber Command (provisional) and the 624 Operations Center (624 OC). Mr. Dean served as the Director, Air Force Partnership with Industry (AF-PWI) working with the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Defense Industrial Base-Cyber Security Task Force (DIB-CSTF) and multiple Cleared Defense Contractor (CDC) companies to secure government proprietary information residing on CDC networks. He has years of experience as an aircraft maintenance and logistics commander and as a program manager on complex propulsion systems. Mr. Dean also has in-depth knowledge of Air Force aircraft and munitions maintenance, logistics, and command & control systems. His expertise includes teaching and developing college classes in computer networking and cyber security. Prior to his last tour of active duty, he was the department chair for the nation’s largest two year collegiate computer program. Mr. Dean is currently the Booz Allen Cyber Mission Assurance Subject Matter Expert.
