Information Collected by the Chapter
We only collect personal information that is relevant to the purpose of our website, which is to educate site visitors about the Chapter and enable our members to network and share information with one another. This information allows us to provide you with a customized and efficient experience. We do not process this information in a way that is incompatible with this objective. We collect the following information from our site visitors and Chapter members.
Site Activity Information
We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with the website. The Chapter and its authorized agents automatically receive and record certain "traffic data" on their server logs from your browser including, but not limited too, your IP address, Chapter cookie information, and the page you requested. The Chapter uses this traffic data to help diagnose problems with its servers, analyze trends, and administer the website. The Chapter may collect and, on any web page, display the total counts that page has been viewed.
Information You Provide Us
We receive and store any information you enter on our website or provide to us in any other way. You can choose not to register or provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of all of our features.
Chapter members will provide registration information; such as a bio, photo, name, and email address. Members control how their information is used and displayed.
When you interact with website, we may use a browser feature, known as a "cookie" (which is a small computer file), to verify non-identifiable information about visitors to our websites and measure visitor traffic patterns. We do this to maintain the best possible website experience. When you first visit our websites, the website software may have implemented a program that creates a small computer file stored on your computer's hard drive. The cookie does not contain personal information and we will not combine information in the cookie with personal information that would enable us to identify you individually. The chapter only allows approved local members to network and share information online with one another. Rest assured we neither rent, sell, or share your personal information to anyone and we will share your personal information only as described below.
Website Administrators: Approved and authorized website administrators may have access to user information if necessary in the normal course of website maintenance.
Member Profile Information: Information collected during registration and subsequent visits, such as your full name and expertise, may be displayed to other Chapter members in your Membership Profile. The Membership Profile is the area on the website where we allow you to tell other Members about yourself and your interests. You may control what personal information is displayed in your Membership Profile by visiting the Settings section of your Member Profile.
Membership Directory: The Member Profile you create will be searchable by other Chapter members, unless you choose to opt out of this feature. This is primarily sot that Members can find you to establish a relationship through the website. You may opt-out of this feature by visiting the Settings section of your Member Profile.
Discussions: The website allows for the creation, contributing , and browsing of relevant InfraGard discussions. Once a discussion is created all online Chapter members can view, and contribute to the discussion. Members that are part of the discussion, and their contributions are viewable to all online membership.
Keeping Information Secure
Your web web account information is protected by a password for your privacy and security. Protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer by logging off once you have finished using a shared computer.
Ways to Control Display and Use of Your Information
As stated previously, you can always opt not to disclose information on the website, but then you may be unable to use certain features on our website available to members.
By visiting your Membership Settings, you can correct, amend, add or delete personal information on our website. When you update information, however, we often maintain a copy of the unrevised information in our records.
You may delete your online account at anytime.
If you do not want to be contacted by other members of the Chapter or be searchable, you can opt out under Settings.
Like most other websites, we may monitor traffic patterns, site usage and related site information in order to optimize our web service. We may provide aggregated information to third parties, but these statistics DO NOT include any identifiable personal information.
